ART/ COMMUNITY SPACE & ART THERAPY

FINDING LIBERATION THROUGH ART

We often forget that making art playfully and freely, without any express purpose can be liberating. If we are able to observe and understand our feelings while we are releasing our creativity, then we get what alkotás13 (creation13) is about: an instinctive and intuitive way to reach the part of ourselves that is unreachable through words.

Besides art therapy our place works as a community center welcoming different therapeutic approaches, art workshops, performances, concerts, flat-markets etc. Reach out to us, if you have a good idea!

GÁSPÁR KLÁRI

Graphic designer, ART THERAPEUTIC Counsellor, founder of alkotás13 (creation13)

I studied graphic design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), but I have always preferred making art intuitively and by hand. Alongside art, the importance of social work and a desire to understand the human soul became central in my life. For a while, I could ease my curiosity by volunteering, taking psychology courses, travelling, and diving into Eastern philosophies. Going deeper, I studied cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT) and Shiatsu massage, and worked with adults in psychiatric treatment, foster children, chronically ill children, and the elderly. Eventually I committed myself to the 3-year Transpersonal Arts Counselling programme at the Tobias School of Art and Therapy in England, where I found what I was looking for. Since then, I converted my flat into ‘alkotás13’ where I hold art therapeutic groups and I work with individuals too.
